About the Attorney
Anthony (“Tony”) Sosa is a bilingual (English and Spanish), California-licensed immigration attorney. Tony relocated to Minneapolis in 2015 after working as an attorney and paralegal in California for over 12 years.
Tony graduated in 1997 from the Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. In 2000, he enrolled in the paralegal certificate program at San Francisco State University. After graduation in 2001, Tony worked at Law Center for Families in Oakland, CA where he supported attorneys providing family law legal services to victims of domestic violence.
From 2004 to 2012, Anthony Sosa worked at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office in San Francisco, CA supporting attorneys providing legal services to criminal defendants.
In 2011, Tony graduated from San Francisco Law School. Between 2012 and 2015, he worked as a staff attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid in San Jose, CA providing legal services in immigration and family law to residents of Silicon Valley.
Anthony Sosa brings to Minnesota an understanding that for many individuals and immigrant families the immigration system in the United States can be intimidating, frustrating, and a challenge particularly when English is not the first language.
Tony’s goal is to help clients realize their dreams of being able to immigrate to the United States, reunite with family members, obtain legal residency, apply for citizenship, or stay in the country when the government wants to deport.
